Do you need help with some tricky hockey rules interpretations? Are you looking for guidance or tips on some umpiring how-tos? This live AMA has all that and more.
I get a lot of random questions on the socials, which I absolutely love. But if one hockey umpire has a question and can be arsed enough to send me a DM about it, maybe other umpires could benefit from the answer too?
So here's #WhatUpWednesday, only titled that because of the alliteration, where I'll pick up those questions and anything you can throw at me live and answer in an intelligent way. I'll try to focus on less technical rules and focus on tips and tricks, like: why do umpires bring more than one whistle on the pitch? Can you tackle from between a player's legs? What's a dangerous shot on goal? ๐คญ
Come join me for a completely indeterminate amount of time, maybe once, maybe weekly, let's just see how it goes. Reply, DM, comment or text your umpiring questions to me advance and join in the hilarity!
As announced on the Live, the July 29th time slot will be our first Webinar Wednesday (where do I get these AMAZING names?) titled “Positioning For the Modern Umpire”, subtitled, “Oh, The Places You Will Go!”
Are you still unsure of what the new positioning is? Worried about how to stay out of the way of the play? Wondering how to deal with objections from players, coaches and umpire managers?
This fully interactive workshop/webinar/social occasion will leave you with a solid game plan and full of confidence to add this skill to your repertoire.
