I don’t agree with this umpire’s decision! The defending player was physically blocked from being able to successfully tackle the player that scored
I think you’ve got a great point there!
A couple of things stand out to me:
a) Yes, the attacker at the top of the D does impede the defender from approaching the attacker with the ball.
b) The one thing I also noticed is the attacker at the top of the D takes a quick head turn peek to see where he’s positioned and if there’s a lane for a shot. This indicates clear intent.
