Airtube mics are designed for active wear and shouldn’t need any tape once customized and fit properly.
1. Pull the earpiece out of the vertically-descending part of the airtube and cut with scissors. Remove a few cm at a time until the upper portion of the airtube curls snugly around your ear when it’s assembled.
2. Pivot the earpiece in the airtube until the airtube lays flat around your ear and against your head.
3. Mount the airtube clip on your collar or inner shirt far away from the ear in which you’re wearing the earpiece. A common mistake is to mount it next to that ear, leaving the airtube with slack so it pushes the earpiece out of your ear as you move. Instead, make sure the airtube coil is taut against your neck but with enough coil that it will stretch as you turn your head away.
