The Briefing
It's been a long time since I've sent out an email.
In The Briefing, I'll to share highlights from live stream and social content, insights from around the interwebs geared to elevate your performance, and news from the FHU3T. Three quick hits of value for the third team.
If that's not your jam, no hard feelings at all. We're still cool!
Last week on What Up Wednesday, I shared a technique that I've been practising for more restful sleep called “noting“.
The idea is when you realise you're being distracted by thoughts or feelings, you consciously direct your thoughts to “note” them. In doing so, you separate yourself from the thought or feeling, making it easier to Elsa it (yup, let it go). When umpiring, I figured it would help in replacing it with the constructive, forward-looking attention that will help you anticipate the next play and make the right call.
I was really impressed with how it helped me leave behind a mini internal tantrum I was throwing in a recent game. If you give it shot, let me know how it goes for you!

This week's live stream will cover a number of situations from the first 3 days in Terrassa, and shockingly, there's an aerial into the circle to talk over!
